When it comes to being the best, we put ourselves through so much pain to become the very best in our sport. All the pain we put ourselves through is worth it as at the end of the day we are able to reap the rewards from being the best. What does it take to become the best? You need to see yourself already being the best and do everything you need to do to make sure you are on the path to greatness. We all want to wake up one day and not put in any work and become the greatest. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that.
When we watch all the greatest athletes on TV doing what they do best, all we typically see is the end result. They are shown wining championships and doing everything they are supposed to do but what they typically don’t show is all the hard work and hours that are put in to get where they are at. We all want to take that magic pill that will automatically turn us into superstars. It doesn’t work that way. Yes there are some athletes that have it better than others and have better situations but at the end of the day its all about what you are able to do with your own unique situation.
At the end of the day if you want to be the best then you must understand that you will need to put in hours upon hours of hardwork and you will not see results right away. You are putting in the work so that down the road when you are in shape and have the skills that you’ve been working on, you will be able to reap the rewards.
Becoming the best requires you to make the appropriate sacrifices for future gain.
